ABDOMINOPLASTY FROM THE EXPERTS 
Abdominoplasty, better known as a tummy tuck, is a way to tighten the abdominal muscles and remove excess, saggy skin. Often following pregnancy or substantial weight loss, one may find they can’t quite loss the extra fat or skin in the abdominal area.
Abdominoplasty, the surgical removal or extra fat and skin, may be the answer. In many cases, abdominoplasty may be combined with other procedures, such as liposuction, if needed. Patients are usually able to return to work one week after surgery, with normal a return to normal activities by three to four weeks.
Abdominoplasty surgery is performed at Northern Arizona SurgiCenter, in the lower level of the Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona building in Flagstaff. Post surgery, most patients will spend one night at the Summit Center in Flagstaff for recovery care, and will need to wear a velcro abdominal binder for about three weeks. Full recovery takes approximately six weeks, but most patients are driving by the end of week one.
