Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs is a triple-board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, American Board of Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. He has joined Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona this summer from Jackson Mississippi where he was the Assistant Medical Director of the Mississippi State Burn Center, performing all aspects of plastic surgery. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Dr. Gibbs earned his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University and his medical degree from Drexel University. From there he completed his general surgery training at Loyola University in Chicago and he proceeded to Indiana University to complete his Plastic Surgery residency and burn fellowship. Finally, he completed his surgical critical care fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Gibbs was drawn to the field of Plastic Surgery because of the great diversity of surgery and unique challenges plastic surgeons face. Although many fields in medicine have standard procedures, plastic surgeons get to deal with unique and complex problems that do not always have standard answers. They have to rely on surgical principles to come up with creative solutions to these problems. Dr. Gibbs enjoys performing both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. The variety of cases and the interaction with patients makes every day different and exciting.

Married with five young children, he enjoys spending time with his family when not at work. Dr. Gibbs is looking forward to having four seasons again and is excited to have the opportunity to teach his children how to ski. An athlete in college, he likes to stay active throughout the year. He enjoys softball, basketball, flag football, and skiing.
