Your nose is one of the first things that people notice about your face so if the proportion is off, it can negatively affect the harmony of your facial features. Rhinoplasty can improve the size and shape of the nose resulting in a better balance between it and the rest of the face, thus significantly improving your overall appearance.
Rhinoplasty involves either removing or adding bone and cartilage to reshape and reposition the nose. There is very little if any scarring associated with the procedure, and recovery time is usually quick. In general, rhinoplasty is not performed until the patient’s nose is fully developed, typically around 18 years of age. There’s no upper age limit for the procedure, assuming reasonably good health of the patient. If you feel that your nose is too large, too wide, too asymmetrical, too crooked, or otherwise displeasing in appearance, you may be a good candidate for rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty procedures are performed at Northern Arizona SurgiCenter, our privately owned, fully licensed, certified and AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center located in the lower level of the Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona building in Flagstaff.
