FACELIFT

A facelift is designed to smooth the loose skin, and wrinkles that appear on the face, and neck as we age, providing you with a younger, more rejuvenated appearance. Facelift surgery will also result in a marked improvement of the jawline, removing the dreaded “turkey neck” that many women, and men develop in later life. These improvements are surgically achieved through incisions, carefully hidden behind the ears and within the hairline, through which the skin, and foundation of the face are lifted into a more youthful position. The surgeon then trims the excess skin, and sutures the incisions closed. Scarring is minimal, and patients can usually return to their normal routine within three weeks of surgery.

Tree-bckgdAt Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona, our surgeons are not only schooled in the latest surgical techniques, but believe strongly in tailoring each surgery to your specific needs with the fewest incisions possible. This might mean a mini-facelift or a full  facelift. These options will be discussed with you in detail during your initial consultation. Our surgeons may also recommend that facelift surgery be performed in conjunction with other facial cosmetic procedures such as a blepharoplasty or a perioral fat injection for optimum results. They may also refer you to one of our aestheticians for a pre-surgical skin care consultation if they feel that would be helpful for you to achieve your desired goals.

Facelift surgery is popular among middle aged men and women, but can be done at any age with beneficial results. Like all of our cosmetic surgeries, facelift surgery is performed at Northern Arizona SurgiCenter, our privately owned, fully licensed, certified, and AAAHC-accredited ambulatory surgery center, located in the lower level of the Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona building in Flagstaff.
